Notes on the Hauter Experiment

  1. Anyone recognize the subject heading? That was my FAVORITE BOOK to check out in the Sixth Grade - and I have been looking for a copy of that for years that isn't 70 bucks. Geez.

  2. My right-wing Repub. Mormon uncle sent me an email this morning about Why I Should Vote For Mitt Romney. After I stopped laughing, I sent him a bulleted list of Why I Will Effing Not (And why you shouldn't either) Maybe this will get him to stop sending me his propaganda... (like the one about how the Koran's 9:11 verse is all about An Eagle That Will Destroy The Desert. No, it's not. GOD I hate that B.S.

  3. My husband has quit his job and is moving to another company, which means he is taking a 10 day vacation in between, so we are playing this week! \o/

  4. After watching this clip, I kind of want Steve Martin/David Letterman fic. Not explicit, just funny. And kissing. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, OKAY? I know it's wrong, but I don't wanna be right.

  5. My sister had a party this weekend, and it was fun to hang with hilarious people. Why did we move to the suburbs and away from all the coolness? Oh, right. Damn kids.

  6. I've decided to do NaNoWriMo this year to finish up my Mormon Memoir. See #2 for why I think I'll be able to finish. :D

  7. I can't stop singing that flipping Indian Music Video's "lyrics:" Minor bun engine runs Benny Lava. I poop on Oliver. *head desk*

  8. Watched 28 Weeks Later last night and found it to be almost as terrific as 28 Days Later (which I know is an unpopular opinion.) The opening 15 minutes about gave me a heart attack - awesome.

  9. If someone could bring me a chocolate glazed donut, I'd appreciate it.

Thom cranked up that video this AM to "wake us all up".

It's very odd, the bopping around while getting dressed and singing, "We want to see you pee on us tonight! We want to see you pee on us tonight!"

I think I need to find the original song and download it for my workouts.

SRSLY.

I still like "28 Days Later" better, but "28 Weeks Later" definitely comes close! The subway scene. Yikes!

Oh, me, too, but I still enjoyed the sequel. I'd heard a lot of negative things about it, but I thought it was still interesting and scary as hell. The dad running out of the house in the beginning still scared the crap out of me. :D

Okay, so is your nano name the same? Cuz I will add you in a heartbeat. :)

I've been working on an idea that I realized last night while having a con-fab regarding world-building with my husband (after he got back from the mavs game) that this is going to be a multiple book deal...something that actually stands a chance at publication.

I kind of want Steve Martin/David Letterman fic. I can actually see this before watching the clip. Which I will do now.

I would also like to see what you said to your uncle. Cause it makes me hot to see put your think in my butt.

I hesitate to ask, but what music video?

1. Why is that book $70??
2. Oh God, Mitt Romney barely governed my state (Mass.) never mind an entire country *facepalm* It'd be great if Obama or Hilary could win, but the problem is that because they're black and/or female, if the democrats elect them as representatives, we will LOSE to the republicans. I really really hope we can get a strong democrat for our representative. I've had enough of this 8 years worth of republican BS :P
3. Yay for hubby time!
4. You're a riot :)
5. Glad to hear you had fun at the party!
6. It's awesome you're going to do Nano.. I wish I had time *sigh*
7. That Indian vid was fuckin hilarious, omg. Brilliance right there, hee!
8. OMG, the whole 28 Weeks/Days movies are so awesome. It makes me want to write Apocalypse!fic So many plot bunnies in my brain! I have so much to say about those two movies but I won't bore you XD
9. Sorry, no donuts here, I'm in World History (we're talking about the Seven Years War, good stuff :P)

Hey - what's the name of the distributor your movie is going through? I mentioned it to the theater owner (where we set up at the horror film festival), and he seemed interested - they show a bunch of small-studio, indie films. :)

Well, there might be a bidding war starting up, which is awesome! It might be Dimension or Lion's Gate if we sell it. If not, WIP is the production house.

I'll keep you posted - that's cool your indie theater is interested!!!

Minor bun engine runs Benny Lava, Anne. BENNY LAVA. (Did you get high today?) Ahahahaha.

I think my uncle forgets that I COMPLETELY DISAGREE with his politics and religion. (Weird how those two are intertwined now, huh?)

Oh, and I forgot to name that book in your journal: "Which Lie Did I Tell?" It's fascinating and funny. Which means it's perfect. :)

3. YAY for Mr. Stoney! And double yay for getting to have play time with Mr. Stoney!! *wink wink nudge nudge*
6. Awesome!! The Mormom Memoir FTW. I read an article in People while at my parents' house about a woman who escaped from the FLDS church. I think she was married to a Jessup? I think that was his last name? Apparently she's written a book and the article was an excerpt from the book. She's. . . kinda a blah writer. Your book will be so much more awesome than hers.
9. Uhm, yes. I'm allllllll over the map today mood-wise (emoness! anger! diediedieJosh!) so I'm craving chocolate like crazy. Emotional eater what?

Ooooh, if you can remember the name of the woman/book, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. (And all of those Mormons write the same. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.)

I started last week for some weird reason, so I'm about done with my crazy mood swings. I meant to call you yesterday, but I was so tired from ripping out the grass in the front of my house and building two stone stairways. (It looks so good!! I'll share pictures soon.)

abebooks.com has a copy for four dollars...
http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&tn=Notes+on+the+Hauter+Experiment&x=65&y=10

Can't vouch for the quality of it, but hey...

And please can you send me a copy of the email for why not to vote for Mitt? It's like - i *know* he's a horrible choice, but i don't have any solid *info*. I wish some of the activist groups i'm a part of online would start talking about *him*. The thought of him being a presidential candidate makes me shudder.

28 Weeks Later! It's awesome! Robert Carlyle!! Yay! I liked the first movie a lot, too - very different from how an 'American' movie like that would be, and that was made it good, in my mind.

Oh, thank you for finding that link! And I c&p'd my email uptop to Dancetomato, and linked to a much longer post I wrote months ago detailing why Mitt's terrible. :)

I really liked both of the 28 movies. It's just such a frightening concept. Which translates into AWESOME.

Dude, I will buy your book in a HEARTBEAT when it is finished. 'Cause awesome.

From Missouri to Texas is a very long drive, and my car is still out of commission, or you could totally have all the chocolate glazes in the box of donuts on my kitchen table. (My brother made the mix, and I only like the jellies)

Did you hear that Stephen Colbert is officially going to run for President? He announced it, like, three days ago...

I've never seen "28 Days Later," let alone "28 Weeks Later." :-/ I have one friend who will never forgive me for this, as she has the biggest crush in the world on Christopher Eccleston and thinks zombies are the best thing ever. (There were zombies in this, right?)

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
