If I may.

I find it rather delicious that my ex-husband messaged me today, wanting to know if I sent paperwork in to the Attorney General yet, insuring that he only has to pay a certain amount of child support. He's had to wait one week to hear from me, for the record.

I've waiting since 1997 for any - ANY - child support. So I might not feel like I got a fire lit in my ass, if you're feeling me.

Don't mind me, just sitting over here laughing. *chinfists* What's it like to wait, Bubba? (hahaha)

Happy Friday, guys. <3

WHEEEEEEEEEE!

:) Is he paying some of the back-dated child support then?

That's what this is all about. His wages are FINALLY being garnished and he wants to be sure they don't take one penny more.

BALLSY. So, so ballsy.

Child support needs to have interest

especially when it hasn't been paid for, oh, ever.

HAHAHAHAHA.

He's still being very polite. And I know him very well.

And he STILL OWES MY KIDS MONEY.

LOLOLOL! Sweet justice! I personally think he should be paying 10000% interest on the support he owes you BUT THAT'S JUST ME!

Hi, Stoney, hi! *shares blondies and iced coffee with you*

I think he actually will have to pay interest on the money owed, which is AWESOME.

I want both of those things, yes please!!!

MWAHAHAHAAHA! That's so adorable! And by adorable, I mean incredibly douchey.

A whole week? You are so irresponsible and...
nope sorry, can't stop the whole cackling thing to attempt seriousness.

MWHAHAHAAHAHA

He was very polite about it, and I was very snarky (and smiley) back.

IT FELT DIVINE.

Good for you! I suspect he was one of those fellows who hoped it would go away when the child turned 18. My mister deals with those folks a lot more than anyone wants to admit. He takes great pleasure making them pay. Lawyers raised by single parents have no tolerance for that shit.

Anyhoo. Congrats!

If we're lighting ass fires, we can pool our lists of candidates.

Why is he suddenly paying child support now? Did it take the state this long to catch him? Or did something trigger the case?
stoney321
Jun. 29th, 2012 07:24 pm (UTC)
That sounds like it's good for the environment; I'm in!

YEP. Took this long for the state to find him. (His family has deeeeeeep pockets and hid him. Isn't that horrible of them?)

His family has deep pockets, deep enough that they could hide him, but he couldn't be bothered to pay child support? Eff him!

His family, of which his children are apparently not a part? Oh, how I love classy folk like that!

YEP! He sure will! (And let's think about this new person he's marrying that knows that he WALKED AWAY FROM HIS CHILDREN AND NEVER PAID. Would you ever marry someone like that? I mean...damn.)

Ah ha ha. Funny how now, it's suddenly *urgent*.

Wow. 15 years? Is there no time limit? My sis in law is dealing with child support/dead beat ex, and Missouri has a limit of, i think, ten years - if they don't pay up in that time, then basically you can't get any of the 'back support' from them.
stoney321
Jun. 29th, 2012 07:27 pm (UTC)
Mm hm. That's pretty much what I said back to him, too.

Seeing as his family has been hiding him (and I've continued to remind the state to go get him) I guess we beat any limitations on time? I honestly have no idea.

That's good. Glad something was working in *your* (and your kid's) favor.

My sis-in-law's ex does cash-only work and claims no income and everybody knows and the whole 'nudge nudge, wink wink' atmosphere is revolting.

no matter when I give him the information that the court already has on file (wow) it won't change that his wages are being garnished and the money is going into the kitty for college!

Jun. 29th, 2012 08:25 pm (UTC)
Well, you can't really blame him. I mean, what is 15 years compared to 7 WHOLE DAYS. I say, do it (that is, if you haven't all ready) but message him back and say that you just haven't gotten around to do it yet but if everything goes according to plan, you will get to it sometime in the near but undefined future.

So is that his underlying motive for the niceness from before, that he wants you to treat him fairly now that he's been caught, so he did some A+ sucking up?

He's a good, kind man who got railroaded by his awful ex-wife and brats. That's what his fiance is telling herself to make it okay to be with him, me thinks.

I share your glee!

I never got a cent of child support from my ex. He fled to Hawaii when the state of Oregon, acting for CA, took him to court and judged that he could pay 58 bucks a month for our two kids.

\/\/hatever...

I'm sorry to hear that you have to deal with that! And yes, let him understand the meaning of "patience" for once. I'm sending virtual hugs, too.

These gifs are accurate though, and made me smile after the evening I had ;)

Very sweet of you, thanks! (But this has been going on for almost 15 years. His family is crazy rich and has spent more money than they owe to keep him from paying me. So. *hands* It's just craziness.)

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
