2. I blog stream-of-conscious, generally, which means there will be typos on occasion. I ain't bovered.
3. I don't mind lurkers, random comments, etc. Feel free to chat it up with others.
4. Those Twilight/Sparkledammerung posts? They got HUGE. I no longer reply to comments there [well, sometimes I do] it's just too much to keep up with, sorry. But please enjoy, comment to others, etc.
5. I do try to reply to comments, but life (children, pets, my tush) take priority.

7. I'm a former Master Gardener (I had to let my membership lapse, woe) and if you catch me at the right time, I love to help people enjoy their own gardens more. Feel free to ask questions, or for advice.

I've had a couple of people ask for this, and I'm sorry it's taken so long to get up. It's uh... big. Currently I'm walking about 2 1/2 hours 6 days a week with that bumping up to 3 1/2 hours five times a week, so I need a lot of music. This is the newest mix I've made. I replace it every two weeks, or sooner, depending. (If you're wondering why I walk so much, it's because I'm raising money for women with breast cancer - I'm walking 60 miles in one weekend. Feel free to make a donation, should you feel so inspired. It's an amazing organization with every single penny going directly to someone's care, not an administrator.)

I made a CD (hahaha, mix tape to show my LOOOVE) for my friend Alison, who I'm off to help unpack her thangs in her new cute place in a little bit. I figured she's not the only one who's been through a divorce/breakup/rotten time so I upped it for my loverly flist.

Speaking of putting things in a box... (Shh. I still have Timberlake on the brain.) I ordered apples the other day and they came in a nice box with a refrigerated pad. And... I have cats.

In a world with horse screwers and Mrs. Berlin Wall, I find it interesting that I'm the only person writing Squidbillies/Harry Potter fanfic. Just when you think you've hit the bottom of the crazy barrel, you find that there's a whole 'nother layer of crazy down there. (MARRIED. To the Berlin Wall. Married? MARRIED! Jeez. <-- Sixteen Candles shout out!)

Things I'm glad about:

• The minimum wage increase, which helps the worker (even though it screws over the small businessman) <-- lets get some tax reform in there to alleviate the burden on the shrinking middle class, 'kay?
• FNL last night - Oh, Matt. My secret TV boyfriend. His relationship with Julie makes my chest hurt with love. That RIGHT THERE is how kids really are. It's not perfect, they don't say what they should, and everything's in their eyes when they look at each other. I still want to be Connie Taylor when I grow up.
• I'm finally catching up on Rome. DUDE. That's a TERRIFIC show. Best TV quote in the history of talking: "Large Penis is always welcome." Ahaha.
• My dog. My dog snorgling the cats.
• Random fic recs like this: a Barty Crouch/Crouch Jr. drabble here. Ooooh. That one's nice and dark. And a random Skwisgaar/Toki fic that doesn't make me want to spork my eyes, yay! (why am I getting into a fandom with HS-aged kids? *crie*
• had a whole night of no choking/coughing, yay! I haaaaaate being sick. Except it affords me time on the computer, and I'm slowly catching up on fic/etc.
• tonight is the BEST NIGHT FOR COMEDY on TV. The Office! 30 Rock! SCRUBS! Woooot.

I've been feeling very disconnected from things - people, fandom, anything creative/intelligent - and I've decided to take the bull by the horns and just wade in and fix it. Starting with some crack. I hope to have actual fic (of the non-crack variety) written today. (And *cough* if those of you who got a fic from me three weeks ago could you know... SAY SOMETHING about it, that would be super. :D No pressure! I'm just imagining it sucks. This is the boarding school fic. Jess, not you. I know you've been busy.)

I've had a few requests over the past few months to upload all of the character playlists I've made. Not to mention the complaints about some song formats, etc. warranted a new upload, imo. So here we go.

[ETA]: This is for fans of the show and music lovers. Don't be shy. :)

Note to folks who weren't around in 2004 when I took on this project, I asked for people to give me one word, and I'd make them a CD based on it. It started with "Fred." These are all characters from Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Angel: The Series. They're all songs I would listen to, and they tell the character's story arc on the show. If you have your own playlist, great! That's super. I'm not changing mine. :) (With the exception of a few song changes I've made, heh. Note 2: on Buffy Disc 2: I took out the acoustical version of Elbow's Fugitive Motel and put in a better version. I'm much happier with how it sounds.)

Note 3: files are either .wma or .mp3. If you need them to be in a different format (I'm partial to .mp4, myself) you can CONVERT YOUR OWN FILES. I love this tool. Very simple to use.

Let me start with saying this is restrained. 4 discs. I mean, she was in EVERY show. So... the best way (IMO) to make a mix was to focus on her relationships - those were big turning points in her growth, regression, etc. Her and the boys, the Scoobs, Giles, her parents... And I just touched over them. Seriously, could have gone on and on, but it was getting a bit ridiculous.

You know when you play a video game and you have big things come at you, and the final battle is a ginormous monstrosity? With the "Tron" face? That is what this is, but in a totally kick ass way, if I do say so myself. 3 CDs. Count 'em. Couldn't help it. While I love Giles and Spike and their mirrored and flipped growth charts, Wes was the one character who spiraled out of control, and then stayed there. (But Fred redeemed him! Aaaaand he shot that guy's knee off for questioning their ability to save her. Fantastic bit.) Going through his timeline I realized that he had some of my most favorite moments in both shows.

I got a flurry of CDs done yesterday and will not work on any today as I am nursing my cat. This is the cat we thought was going to have to be put down because of his GI cancer. And is beating it. He got hit by a car. AND WALKED HOME. AND JUMPED ON THE BED. AND CURLED UP AND SLEPT. He's 14. He's going to be fine, by the way. Not one broken bone, no internal injuries. He doesn't have much fur or muscle on his back legs, so he has these wonky bandages that keep him from walking properly, so His Royal Highness is getting hand-fed by me all day. (I'm really glad he's still with us. He's purdy and lovey and cuddley. He's the face rubber of all face rubbers.)

It finally happened, but it's because it's crazydiamondsue's request. I had to make a 2CD compilation. She wanted Spander. I made this with her fic in mind. Keep in mind (those of you who are die-hard Spander shippers) that this is MY interpretation of what I see in that 'ship. It's filled with the funny, angst, the snark, the hot, but ultimately I think it's a doomed ship. Doesn't mean I don't like reading fluffy, this project is just my current frame of mind. Enjoy!

Just so we can all be clear: I plan on keeping the playlists (and a copy of each CD) on my HD. I would hate for the people who got onboard late to be forced to wait longer. (You know, you aren't supposed to get seconds until everyone has had firsts...)
