Well, I was off by a bit, having Texas 38-33 instead of 41-38. 'Tis good for you that the refs gave you guys a bogus touchdown. And also that USC cannot play defense.

You are NOT ruining this for me. NO. I'm being a big girl and NOT having coffee in the morning because USC scored more than 24 points.

Don't make me rope up one of the Longhorns from down the road and ride in, Mongo-style, and clean your clock. :D

HOw can I ruin it? Your boys still won. I freely admit than when Maryland won the NCAA Basketball title in 2002, we did so because Indiana was ass.

Vince Young is legitamately awesome. Awesome enough to take advantage of good breaks, unlike what would happen to any UNC or Texas team coached by Mack Brown that didn't feature Vince Young. Who, again, is awesome.

Seriously. I'm skipping my coffee because I am a woman of my word, man. My shakes and headaches tomorrow are testament to the frickin' NIMBLE offense of USC. God, I love college ball.

I was more impressed with how tough USC's offense was, because they were getting hit. Hard. Though it was interesting that, when USC decided to go for that last first down (because their defense is junk and they know it) that Bush wasn't on the field. Which is where Texas won, because they could occaisionally stop USC's offense, and USC couldn't stop Vince.

That game was intense. Really, a lot of great bowl games. And I'm really glad both teams settled down and got their heads out of their butts after the first quarter.

Oh YES. I was panicking that first quarter. They were all so nervous and you could tell they had too much in their heads when it needed to be on the game.

As for USC - they have a fantastic team, but their defense didn't seem to really gel until the last three minutes when I almost had a heart attack and DIED.

That was an AMAZING game. And, yet again, I am not going to bed before midnight *gives up*

Oh, btw? WE'RE NUMBER 1.

AWESOME. (the game, not the lack of sleep)
The whole neighborhood errupted with flashing lights, honking horns...

I raised and lowered my garage door and have been flashing the porch lights. HEEE!! We have a single-guy neighbor who ran up and down the block screaming "WHOOO!" with a huge UT flag.

I'm down here in FL, but by golly, I am sick and tired of seeing USC this and USC that. Matt and Reggie who????

Go Vince Young!!!! Who needs a Heisman when you're the National Champions?!!?!

My bowl season was excellent: Miami lost to LSU, FSU lost to Penn State (Go JoePa!) and Florida whooped up on Iowa. Yuppers, Chelle is a happy football camper!

Oh my GOD was Vince ON last night!

But as for USC vs. UT? It's this unspoken rivalry between the concept of California and the concept of Texas.

And Texas won. *beams*

Best. Game. EVER.

*looks at picture*

There was some kind of a horny cow game?
Jan. 5th, 2006 05:31 am (UTC)
DON'T. DO NOT MOCK BEVO. We shoot people for less.

(um, the biggest bowl game in over 30 years? HELLO.) :D

I am. KA-RAZZEEEEE. And was running up and down the block with neighbors hollerin' "Hook 'em Horns!" last night as a testament to that.

Jan. 4th, 2006 10:51 pm (UTC)

Ok, man was that an awesome game. 'SC fell apart. I told the hubby it was gonna come down to the last seconds.
Jan. 5th, 2006 05:33 am (UTC)
USC played a frickin' GREAT game, and I almost had a HEART attack with 57 seconds left in the game and-

*chucks you on the shoulder, buys you a drink, and lml s everytime you pout* Hee!
Jan. 4th, 2006 11:11 pm (UTC)
Holy crap! Is that picture what you guys play up against? They really do breed them tough down in Texas. I salute you! Possibly with beer. Or tequilla.
Jan. 5th, 2006 05:34 am (UTC)
Ahahaha! That is our sexy linebacker, Bevo. He is HAWT. (School mascot for almost 100 years. Not that particular one, of course...)

There's a ranch about two miles from my house that raises them. I love the longhorns. They scratch their butt without barely turning their heads. haha!

TEQUILA!! *buys everyone a round*
Jan. 4th, 2006 11:43 pm (UTC)
Aww, MAN. But it was a good game. Heard the price of tickets for good seats went for five grand. DAMN. *admits defeat and twirls with you*
Jan. 5th, 2006 05:36 am (UTC)
Yep. 5K. Mr. S said his flight out this week was awash in burnt umber - all the folks from Dallas flying out to make a week of the festivities. Should be a fun plane to ride home on.

(That was an amazing game, and USC played SO well. Seriously. I was just biting my nails those last three minutes.)

*buy you a round and slaps that ass with a "good game!"*
Jan. 5th, 2006 04:58 am (UTC)
Heeee. Um. Yay?

*is totally confused and has no idea what's going on in any sport besides figure skating until the spring when of course baseball becomes my shining light*
Jan. 5th, 2006 05:38 am (UTC)

OMG. Texas hasn't had the national title since 1970. Oh, we've been second place, dammit, but WOOOOT!

We beat an incredibly difficult team, and in the FINAL FEW seconds. We were up in the beginning, lost it in the second half and then just kept pushing and pushing and-

*sniff* Hook 'em horns. (Univeristy of Texas vs. USC, btw.)

It would be hard for anyone to not get involved in that game. GAH. There are a handful of games I have to watch, and that was one of them. They did not disappoint. :D

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
