Classic Sesame Street Clips!
Cookie Monster as Casey McPhee! (Through through through! He got the train through! This used to STRESS ME OUT as a kid.)

Hee! And awwww, so nostalgic. I remember most of those, but I don't think I ever saw the orange one. The psychedelic one used to both endlessly fascinate and weird me out. Pretty much sums up 70s children's TV: bunch of acidheads shaping the next generation.

Also found a link to one of my most favorites: I Get Maaaaaad!

I looooooooved that one, too!! If you hit the tag for sesame street clips, you'll see two posts with SCADS of these little guys. I loved that show.

Heh - acidheads shaping the next generation. True dat. Yes, this is a white woman saying true dat. Fareal. :D

Hee! That psychedilic cartoon reminded me WAY too much of the Beatles "Yellow Submarine". I was just waiting for a Blue Meanie to pop out and start chasing after him. LOL

The opera singing orange! I'm so glad you posted this! Now when I pick up the oranges and sing "L'amour!" in the grocery store, my family will know why!!!

Heeeeeeee! I love looking at Sesame Street clips. Was it you who made the big monster post of them a while back? My favorite is the Ladybug Picnic. I still can't count to 12 without hearing that song in my head.

HI HI HI! I apologize for not following your big walking adventure, it's just... I'm kind of starting an exercise program myself, and hearing about people who are so far ahead of me makes me feel kind of depressed and lame. :( But kudos to you for doing so well! Being healthy is so much better than the alternative. And you looked awesome to start with. *makes obnoxious hooting noises*

Oh, honey, don't worry about that! I just care about YOU, so pffft to any other posts. (And that's a reason why I've put those updates under a cut. Scroll on!)

AND YAY FOR YOU!! Do NOT feel lame! Think about how many people don't get any exercise and are sick all the time. (Hint = my dad.) And speaking of good looking... Baby, you are a GORGEOUS woman, says I. Getting fit (pounds mean nothing. Can you move and feel strong? That's what counts) is just going to make you even BETTER. *cheers you on!*

We all sing with the same voice! The same song, the same voice!

*sigh* One of my faves as a kid and still one of my faves.

The most psychedlic cartoon ever EVER on Sesame Street, holy sheet. *hits the bong, good LORD*

As soon as I started watching this I remembered it. I didn't find it at all strange as a child and now I think I got a contact high from watching it.

Wow, the "I think I'm lost" really brings back memories...you just cannot forget that.

OK, that orange thing reminds me of a story I probably shouldn't repeat, but what the hell. In high school, we did a skit (Perhaps from Carmen, but I'm not sure) at my house, where my friend Dave and I stuff our clothing with grapefruits and oranges (in the obvious places) so we could play the female parts. At some climatic scene (filmed at my pool table) we pulled out the fruit and started playing billiards...Zany crap. One of my very few crazy moments in high school. I definitely need more zaniness in my life, but not of the cross-dressing variety I think.

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
