Things and whatnot, also: GIP

Hahaha. I loved that episode of South Park, so's I made an icon. lml -_- lml Rockin' like Dokken!

Things that are awesome about Sally Von Stupp:
* she is 100% housebroken, to the point where she goes to bed at 9:30pm and doesn't need to potty until 6:30am. \o/
* she still enjoys long walks - and I am now able to do them! \o/
* she is getting over her fear of road noise and kid noise \o/

Things she needs to work on:
* not cutting me off at the knees when we walk because a loud truck rumbled by
* not being afraid of the kids - she growled at Em once and it was the last time. I have a scary Mama Bear in me, yo. (she now knows the pack order, ahem)
* not needing me to stand next to her while she does her "bidness" and with my head turned, as she has performance anxiety. O_O

Things that are awesome in my kitchen today:
* while getting my holiday baking skilz in check, I'll be trying out a new recipe for slow cooker truffles. Printed in our local newspaper, they looked like an easier version, which is a +
* I am going to make the GREATEST FUDGE KNOWN TO MAN today. Or maybe the worst. It remains to be seen. What is this fudge, you may be asking yourself?

CHOCOLATE COFFEE WITH HAZELNUT FUDGE, that's what. oh em gee, people. Two Three great tastes that taste great together!! I'll report back, for those interested.

Now that I've worn the dog out, she doesn't seem to be so needy, which will hopefully translate into me getting things accomplished, woot!! ALSO: Tonight is Friday Night Lights. And today is the release for the DVD of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest which, Arrrr! Summary: the movie in which almost all of you realized why I love Norrington. Better late than never! On to the fudgery! *dashes*

Lol. I just wrote a whole post on baking. How funny. Oh I will have to try this recipe out.

Heee! Well, 'tis the season when everyone gets to baking in earnest, right? :D

Must be. I linked the cookie recipes that I am making today in my lj if you want to look...seem to be pretty easy.

She is - we had a bumpy start - Mr. S isn't as patient with dogs as I am, but that's because he grew up in Sterile-ville and his parents HATE dogs. He's a cat man, but wants to be a dog man. *cough* I explained that Sally is much easier to get used to than a Labrador puppy that is just starting to chew, wetting on the floor, etc. ;)

BAKING. Whatcha making? I'm hoping this fudge experiment works out... I'll post the recipe if it does!

Fudge! Yummy. And nice that Sally is so quickly becoming part of the family.

GAH I love fudge. Man. I could live on it and not get tired. Or, I'd like to sit for that experiment, at the very least. :D

Sally ist un VUNDERKIND! Er, vunderhund? Hee! <3

Poor puppydog! She'll learn soon enough that she'll be able to wrap all of you aroudn one paw by being cute and adorable and funny and sweet.

I'm glad she gotherself set straight on pack order, though. None of that nonsense, now.

Coffee. Hazelnut. Fudge. Stupid blood sugar issues. I'll just dial 9-1 and eat it anyway, phone off the hook.
Dec. 5th, 2006 09:18 pm (UTC)
Yep - it took a few sharp "No's" from the kiddoes and she learned quickly. (And now she's all secure in knowing there are 5 of us to love and feed her, yay!)

Woe to the blood sugar issue!! I'll cut you a teeeeeeny slice. Ees onlah wah-fir theen! *pets*

Stop trying to watch your dog go tinkles, you pervert.

But yay, I'm glad things are working out with the little doglett! And yay for your awesomeness kitchen skills!

I'm cracking up at the perfectness of your icon. It isn't the quarterbag of pot I just smoked, honest. *eats all the chips and drinks all the water ever, omg* hahaha.

I have this thing about watching animals go potty. Are you saying that's weird? WHATEV. D, THIS FUDGE IS DELISH. *rolls in it*
Dec. 5th, 2006 09:45 pm (UTC)
Hahaha! Icon love right back at ya! How many times did you have to flush the cat down the toilet to get it to make that comical expression? But hey, it was worth it!

I've been eating vivids, my mouth is black and I feel slightly nausious but when the stationary cupboard is your only crack dealer and your nose is already clogged with twink there's not much else you can do.

You smell like fudge! And look like you've been rolling in a special present doglett left you while you were staring at her and taking polaroids.
Dec. 5th, 2006 09:54 pm (UTC)
Well, NOW I'm not going to let you read my Sally/Me furry fecalphiliac BDSM fic, if you're going to have that attitude about my rolling in her poo. Why can't I love my dog the way *I* want to love her??

And I have no idea what vivids are, but I totally want to get high on them, too!

I am not reading in order.

Very cute pups. Not happy about her growling at Em though. That's not good! Hope that Emily will stay on top and be ALPHA in the foodchain.

Love the keety icon. MY... PONY.... TAILS.... ARE TOOO.... TIIIIGGGHHHTTTTT...

Hoo-ray for Sally Von Stupp! All very good things; she'll get better, I'm sure. And yeah, wearing them out gives them less energy to be nervous. Little beasts.

I made fudge the other day. The pedestrian, peanut butter chocolate kind. Because I don't like nuts in my food. I have ISSUES.
Dec. 6th, 2006 11:13 pm (UTC)
She gets better every day! There's been tentative elbow licking of the Stonettes, so hurrah!

And how can you not like nuts in your food?? *cries for you*
Dec. 6th, 2006 11:20 pm (UTC)
Hehe, Stonettes. Mr. Darcy give tentative lickings to people, it's cute.

Once you know my food issues (which are plentiful and bounteous) you will cry a lot. So don't cry! I don't like competing textures a lot of times, like nuts in food (though chocolate chips is a-ok), and I don't like mushy textures (mushrooms, sushi, beans, but yoghurt and applesauce are okay if not chunky--ditto to peanut butter). And I don't like anything that tastes too strong. Everything is kind of bland with me. Though I do like garlic. But mostly I eat very mild things. I am a foodie l0ser. I lose at eating. (But I am happy)

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
