10o mph winds here, currently. Fence is gone. Like, we saw some of it in the street in a lightning flash. 1 rocking chair gone. 1 plant + stand gone. FENCE. The fence is gone. Hay-soos.

Well, I know what the Mister and I will be doing this weekend: getting a new fence. =p

Yikes, sweetie! I'm glad you're all inside and safe. Bummer about all your stuff, though.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:17 am (UTC)
And we thought it would go right around us. YIPES. (We're all fine, the girls are a little twitchy, though. )

!!! are the kids and the animals okay? Sorry about your plants, agh. Here it's a gorgeous night! *sends you COOL BREEZE and CLEAR SKY*
*okay, you have enough cool breeze*

All are well! Sally (the dog you haven't met) is an utter basket case and was trembling enough to set the sofa shaking.

Holy shit, Stoney! Glad y'all are all right. Fences you can replace.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:18 am (UTC)
We're fine, we're fine. A little freaked that our 6 foot solid wood fence is lying halfway in the street, but fine.

May. 3rd, 2007 01:14 am (UTC)
Eeep! That sucks. Hope everyone is okay. *huggles*
May. 3rd, 2007 01:19 am (UTC)
Laughing at the Gunn icon, hahaha! We're all fine! It was SO LOUD and the water was coming down like a car wash for a bit, then the Boy moaned, "oh no!" (Turns out he thought his croquet set was gone. It ended up in some bushes *g*)
May. 3rd, 2007 01:28 am (UTC)
I saw a funnel cloud earlier, I did. It was exciting, in that OMG EEP! way.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:32 am (UTC)
YIKES. I heard one was spotted in Cleburne earlier, but nothing close to us. Then again, we're on satellite, so we can't get up to the second forecasts, BAH.

Was the downtown? Holy Crow!

It's the Mormans getting even for your previous posts.

May. 3rd, 2007 01:41 am (UTC)
AHAHAHAHAHA! (I almost added that to this post as a joke, heeeeee!)
May. 3rd, 2007 01:47 am (UTC)
That's so funny, because we're going to do some fence shopping this weekend too. Of course, ours is because we never had a fence and we want one so we can get a dog-door for Buddy.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:49 am (UTC)
BUDDY! How's his leg coming along? How's your training? I'm totally off-kilter with my flist, I'm so sorry.

I nail your feet to the ground! Not because of the high winds, just because I'm bored.

I will cross my fingers that gods wrath at you dissipates soon.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:50 am (UTC)
Get my hands, too! *gives up the ghost*

*but not my parking spot*

I can't IMAGINE why the gods hate me, whatever! *thumbs nose at them*

Stay safe! And, take heart! Maybe one of your neighbors will lose THEIR fence, and you'll find it in your yard in the morning!
May. 3rd, 2007 02:14 am (UTC)
Ahaha! Man, you never fail to crack me up. I will hope for that! :D
May. 3rd, 2007 02:03 am (UTC)
Don't blow away! Hold onto something (probably not the fence, though).

May. 3rd, 2007 02:15 am (UTC)
Hee! It's blown past us now. We're just stuck with some more rain (which I know we need, I know, but HOLY FLOOD, BATMAN.)
May. 3rd, 2007 02:16 am (UTC)
Eeek! Batten down the hatches!

We were under a tornado watch earlier and there was HAIL. In the desert. In MAY. It's armageddon I tell ye, ARMAGEDDON!

*tosses you all in a bomb shelter*
May. 3rd, 2007 01:22 pm (UTC)
I saw that! I saw there were tornados in NM and your area, what on EARTH? That's pretty rare for y'all, I know. Now, I expect weird weather in Amarillo, but El Paso?

If it's the end of the world (as we know it, repeat 3x) I feel fine. YES I SAID IT.
May. 3rd, 2007 02:20 am (UTC)
Oh, gosh. That sounds scary :< Hope your house is very sturdy and you're all safe and cozy.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:20 pm (UTC)
We are like the third little piggy with a house of brick! Some of the houses down the way lost their chimneys, though. Just plucked off their homes and dropped in the neighbors' yards. :O

And now begins the arduous task of cleanup... (thanks for the worry.)
May. 3rd, 2007 02:31 am (UTC)
Zounds! (not a word I get to use too often.)

I glad it wasn't anything too serious in terms of damage and I'm glad you and the family are fine.
May. 3rd, 2007 01:23 pm (UTC)
What's weird is I hadn't noticed the wind up until my son freaked out and pointed at the window... (*cough* We were watching recaps of AI and there was some... loud, shrieky singing covering the noise, methinks. Hee!)
May. 3rd, 2007 03:37 am (UTC)
The most important question: is the croquet set safe? How else will I take The Boy down next time?!?!? Priorities, Stoney, priorities.

For real, though, holy smokes! I think the Mormons are pissssssed at you and are taking vengeance.

I bet Sally *freaked.* Poor Sally. I miss her. :(

Most importantly, I hope everyone is okay. Yikes! What an interesting (read: scary) evening!
May. 3rd, 2007 01:24 pm (UTC)
We lost two balls and a mallet, but that means it's one with a one to one competition, so YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.

The fence? From the BBQ grill and the patio furniture all the way down to that trellis on the wall? GONE. O_O

We're fine, Sally wet herself, and then felt bad about it. Ahahaha. *mops*
May. 3rd, 2007 04:57 am (UTC)
Eeeep. At least you didn't end up in Oz!
That's some scarey winds you have in Texas; guess it fits with the everything is bigger in Texas theme, eh? I thought it was windy here this evening; all the cherry blossoms were flying off the trees, it looked like it was snowing out. But there were no flying fences..
May. 3rd, 2007 01:25 pm (UTC)
Or land on a witch!

We do - it doesn't last too long, and I don't remember such a season as this one, to boot. It should start mellowing out and just getting hot and sunny in a week or two. *battens down the hatches*

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
