Star Wars Poll!

Today is the 30th Anniversary of the original release of Star Wars IV: A New Hope. __insert memoriable "I was __ years old and stood in line and experienced this first hand" comment here__ :D

Instead, I'll test your knowledge of Star Wars in a MIND-BENDINGLY DIFFICULT POLL.

Poll #991266 Star Wars: Just How Nerdy ARE You?

The original release featured all but WHICH CHARACTER:

Lando Calrissian
1(3.8%)
Jabba the Hut
0(0.0%)
Jar Jar Binks
14(53.8%)
Trick question because they all existed at the time IV takes place and I can't expound on this because my mother is calling.
9(34.6%)

Connection IV is

a type of hyperdrive that Han and Chewie prefer to power the Millenium Falcon
1(3.8%)
a remote hyper-space port where Imperial Starships can refuel
3(11.5%)
the biggest convention ever for Star Wars fans
19(73.1%)
somewhere I hope to lose my virginity if my mom let's me go. I'm 38.
1(3.8%)

I have dressed up as the following:

Leia, with hair buns
13(59.1%)
Leia, with gold bikini - the buns were SOOOO IV
0(0.0%)
Luke, with a white karate outfit serving as my pre-Jedi garb
3(13.6%)
Darth Maul, and I researched every black spot to get it just right
0(0.0%)
Emperor Palpatine, and my mom sewed my costume. I'm 38.
5(22.7%)

I have said on occasion:

Do not open the Hammerhead box - IT'S MINT!
0(0.0%)
*waves hand* These aren't the droids you're looking for.
6(23.1%)
*sarcastically* You're braver than you look.
3(11.5%)
HAN SHOT FIRST.
3(11.5%)
It made the Kessel Run in .12 parsecs.
0(0.0%)

Things you intrinsically know:

.12 parsecs = 3.7028163 × 1015 meters
0(0.0%)
Lord Vader can crush a throat (force choke) in under 20 seconds
11(44.0%)
As a result, the Millenium Falcon could outrun a force choke - given that the hyperdrive is engaged - with enough time to regain oxygen
0(0.0%)
You mom gets mad when you don't tell her ahead of time that your Jedi Knights aree coming over to eat her meatloaf
2(8.0%)
there is a partially nude woman plastered to the floor behind the co-pilots chair in the Falcon, and the new BluRay technology allows you to see it full-screen
1(4.0%)

You own:

a pet snake
1(11.1%)
a pet tarantula
1(11.1%)
your own basement apartment in your parent's house
4(44.4%)
a Gremlin - you've nicknamed it the "Corellian Corvette"
3(33.3%)

You have:

hit first base
1(5.6%)
hit second base
3(16.7%)
almost bumped into some chick dressed like Figrin D'an at a Con and TOTALLY touched her grvlack. *nerd hand gesture of SCORE*
4(22.2%)
have only slow danced with your Aunt Mildred and felt funny in your pants
0(0.0%)
a sad life in your parent's basement. You're 38.
4(22.2%)

Okay, okay, enough kidding aside (because come on: I totally am pulling these facts out of my dork collective):

Star Wars is the greatest space opera ever.
0(0.0%)
It would have been better if Luke and Leia actually got together then dealt with them being related.
1(4.0%)
Really? No underwear in space?
1(4.0%)
HAN SHOT FIRST.
1(4.0%)
You totally played dress up and with your action figures and ran around your backyard with your best friend making "pchoo! pchoo!" laser noises.
0(0.0%)
Had Star Wars sheets, the toys, lunch box, jelly glasses from Burger King... Best childhood toys ever.
1(4.0%)
Will totally watch a marathon this weekend.
0(0.0%)
Have every release made, and love the original the best.
1(4.0%)

(Um, everyone should know what a complete and utter geek I am for these movies, right? Okay, then.) And it should read: .12 Parsecs = 3.7028163 × 1015 meters, but the polls won't let me format, BAH. *Hulk Smash because MATH MATTERS* Also note: that is based on the size of Planet Earth, not Tattoine or Alderan or whatever planet it is that lies close to the Black Hole near the Kessel Run - like if the planet is larger, the length would be shorter. So let's not get into arguments about navigation through black holes. AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Nerd alert! *pushes glasses up nose*

I'm heading out of town for a family vacation this Sunday - have an excellent weekend and next week, everyone! MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU. Heeeeeee!

I used to pour a bowl of cereal to share with Luke and Leia when I was 7. (1979) They ate lunch with me, they played at school with me, and were TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY REAL to my wee little brain. *g*

Luke?? Ahahahahaha. Um... sure! Have a wonderful weekend!

We would play Star Wars during recess and both me and my best friend who was also named Christina were Leia. It made total sense then.

*MAJOR HEAD SLAP* HAN! I meant HAN! *sheepish* This is why I should just never, ever comment while at work.

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
