Everybody's working for the weekend!

Speaking of entitlement, (hee) the Warren Jeffs trial was underway yesterday, and they FINALLY convinced the Key Witness to get back in the game. (She was terrified and went underground for a bit.) I'm following this like it's the '69 Moon Landing. Um... that may be a bit of an exaggeration. (That link is for the Mormon owned paper in SLC. They've... got an interesting "I didn't do it!" stance. Which is laughable.)

They have no shirts on and that makes the calendar steamy? Oy. I iz skeered.

And thanks for sharing all the fun music! I've been working on attacking my kitchen today and love the tracks you provided.

Have a great weekend!!

Yeah... Oooooooh, HOT! (And the thing is, they are probably getting in trouble with their local leadership over that. O_O)

Oh my gosh, doesn't good music make housework so much easier?! *hugs*

*hugs* Yes, music to rock out to makes housecleaning less painful, though it kind of scared my puppy. :)

Taking their shirts off would get them in trouble? *rolls eyes* No offense to you or anything, but I'm so glad I ran like hell after doing the lessons with the missionaries. There is just so much about the core of LDS doctrine that I will never understand.

And I can't wait to read your post Monday, with more crazy!Mormon stories. Your journal (thanks to Lee) has become my crack lately, I swear. :)

Hee! Haven't heard Owner of a Lonely Heart forever. Totally snagged it.

No work for me, either. None that pays, anyway. *enjoys a few drinks with you*

I've been listening to Old School Prog Rock like Yes and Genesis (back when they had Peter Gabriel) I love it, too!

*squeezes the lime* Mmmmmm, drinks. :D

Music. I was walking down the street today - I'd had nothing to bring for lunch - and Baja Burritos had their loudspeakers aimed at the sidewalk. It was a clear sunny late summer day and the music was REO Speedwagon. I suddenly felt about 22 years younger...

I hope the music you've been sent made you feel similarly.

It does!! I love bouncing and grooving around the house. I fear the day my dance moves are lame and out of synch with the world...

Have a great weekend!

Why should I bother converting? Someone will just baptize me when I'm dead anyway!

That comment is a thing of beauty, really. I laughed so hard, I was doing the full snort giggle thing. Good stuff.

I'm really kind of disturbed. Not by the calendar, but by the other merchandise on the site. First, the "i heart mormon boys" and the praying boys -- totally slashy. But what actually freaked me out was the "family values" shirt -- no smoking, no drinking, no tv = a big ass family including a mother with a FETUS!!!! *shudder* WTF?
Sep. 14th, 2007 08:04 pm (UTC)
It is wrong that I kind of wanted the family values t-shirt? It totally works as some creepy art student project.
Sep. 14th, 2007 09:07 pm (UTC)
See, that I could totally buy. And I like the praying together because I like to fantasize imagine it's two little gay boys who are praying after the insane sex they just had because they're all conflicted.

I don't, however, intend to give any of my money to this cause.
Sep. 14th, 2007 09:20 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I would definitely not want to be giving money to their cause either.
Sep. 14th, 2007 07:37 pm (UTC)
Some of the boys creep me out and a few put me in mind of the creepy dude Sarah is all about on Big Love. DO NOT WANT.

Have a grrrreeat weekend, Stoney!
Sep. 14th, 2007 07:37 pm (UTC)
I just sent that to my ex-Mormon BFF. I'm totally getting that for her for Christmas.
Sep. 14th, 2007 08:01 pm (UTC)
You know, for a moment, I thought the calendar was like that porn I downloaded with the good Mormon boys giving bowjobs. Until I read the FAQs...
Sep. 14th, 2007 08:51 pm (UTC)
Well, I know what I want for Christmas.

Owner Of a Lonely Heart goes exceptionally well with that site, too. Thank you for uploading that! :D
Sep. 14th, 2007 09:17 pm (UTC)
I snagged a couple of your tunes yesterday. Thanks for sharing those. :) Do you by any chance of a copy of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes"? *puppy eyes*
Sep. 15th, 2007 01:28 am (UTC)
Zooming in to say that yes, and I'll upload it for you this weekend at one point. Just back from dinner and I'm getting her sauced, heeeee!

Sep. 15th, 2007 04:04 pm (UTC)
Yay, thank you! (And yay to getting sauced, HEE!)
Sep. 15th, 2007 02:26 am (UTC)
Hi! This is Jesse from BoH's set (stills). Your sister gave me the link to your journal! Can we be friends?!
Sep. 15th, 2007 01:16 pm (UTC)

Are you going to the wrap party? Will I get to see you there?! *friends!*
Sep. 15th, 2007 04:02 pm (UTC)
I'm gonna try to get there. I really want to see everyone again! See you there!
Sep. 15th, 2007 03:18 am (UTC)
OMG I HAVE THE WORST MORMON MISSIONARY KINK EVER. Bulletproof, baby. Bulletproof. Although I wanted them to keep their unbuttoned shirts on and have the skin showing a little. It's the white shirt that makes this kink sing.

Sep. 15th, 2007 08:19 pm (UTC)
LOL! Okay, that calendar is too funny!

I read what the mission boys aren't allowed to do, and nearly fell off the chair giggling! There's a pack of 'em that come here to the library all the damn time to write home. I've noticed they don't just write, either - they put on headphones and watch stuff on YouTube! Clips from Jackass can't possibly be permitted, now can they?

::is highly amused::
Sep. 15th, 2007 11:03 pm (UTC)
Heeee!! (They come on monday, am I right? That's "P" day - Personal Day.) They get several hours off once a week to write home, do laundry, go grocery shopping, maybe play basketball or something.)

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
