1. I just got a solid 8 comments that are obviously spam to the Sparkledammerung posts, but not to the post, just to random comments there. If you commented on those posts, and you get something weird, feel free to ignore it. I'm marking them as spam every time they come in.

2. I just deleted a huge rant that would have pissed a lot of you off. You're welcome. :D

3. I am going to sit on a patio today with the Mr. and have a glass of vino and something delicious to eat because I walked 15 miles today (still at a 10mph pace, aww yeah!) and the very center of the back of my thigh, right where it meets my tush is freaking sore as hell and I deserve some kind of reward.

4. Adam Jones is about to get a serious smackdown from the whole team for his foolishness last night. Good lord, Pacman, you just got reinstated to the NFL! Douche nozzle.

5. Thanks again to those of you that have made donations to my 3 Day fundraising. Next week I'll get a poll going for you to submit names that you'd like me to carry to the finish line. :)

(and the link goes to my walking partner as she's finding that her company won't let her mention the 3 Day or get any donations from co-workers, yet they allow the other workers to have Pampered Chef parties AT WORK, as well as a co-worker selling Mary Kay at her cubicle, and another co-worker soliciting folks to join their lunch-time Bible study. Again, AT WORK. But raising money for breast cancer? Absolutely not! WTF?)

I totally got a few of those spam comments as replies. I was like "...What in the world is going on here?" XD

I saw that - I just deleted it and marked it as spam. WHat the hell?

Now you're just taunting us!

Hahahaha. I'll just say it was about genetically modified foods and why I am 100% in support of them.

And I'll leave it at that. :) HI, T!

Okay, that (your walking partner's company) is SO SCREWED UP! What the hell???
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:18 pm (UTC)
Isn't that just ridiculous?? I've written abotu the redonk nature of her (one day ex-)workplace. They are the most backwards people ever.

*rubs your booty*

I got friended by a journal that's got all these sex-related comms friended (http://xmurf.livejournal.com/profile). The last (visible) post to the journal was in 2006. And a birthdate of 1890. WTF? Where do these people find me? I know it's got to do with the mutual interest of "fisting". It's like the guys who try to chat me up in bars -- they're always slightly crazy old guys.
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:20 pm (UTC)
It's getting solid as a rock, though, which is nice.

How weird - I just got another five comments from obvious spam journals. And I know just what you mean about those crazy old guys. We both have that nice girl with enough dirty look that makes the weird ones think we're the right girl for them. We need to be bitchier. :D

That ten mile an hour pace is phenomenal. No wonder you're achey.

Your walking partner must be steamed. Has her company explained allowing for profit money making but not non profit fund raising?
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:21 pm (UTC)
My joints are all achy, too, especially my hips. I'm hoping that translates into more boy-hips than "I've had three kids" hips. :)

Isn't that shameful? She doesn't have the energy to say anything. They think she's weird because she doesn't go to church, is a vegetarian, and runs for fun. It's a toxic work environment on the best days.
Oct. 9th, 2008 04:36 pm (UTC)
Boggling, boggling at your friend's workplace not allowing her to let people know they can sponsor her walk and support this important cause! I'm waving my "file a complaint!" flag, though I have no idea if it will do any good for her to take that tack.
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:22 pm (UTC)
Isn't that just gross? They're such hateful people to her, too. She's one of those really quiet introspective types, and they see her as weak and just treat her terribly. She's looking for other jobs becausae she's NOT confrontational in the slightest, and gets to where she feels ill just thinking about it. :(

I want to fly out there and smack people on her behalf.

Why on earth would they not let your partner solicit donations from her co-workers for a charity? That makes absolutely no sense to me.

And Yay you for keeping up that pace!
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:23 pm (UTC)
Isn't that crazy? And really really hateful? Bah!

THANK YOU!! I almost slowed down today, I was so tired, but then I thought, "I could be done in twenty more minutes, or I could be done in thirty five more minutes." Hence the swift pace. :D
Oct. 9th, 2008 05:31 pm (UTC)
what's the deadline on the fund raising donations? I'm meaning to donate but want to time it just right.

Also, I'm very curious about the post you deleted.

*very* curious.

Your fifteen miles is EFFING AWESOME I'd rub your bum but I'm not there. Get the Mr. to do it.
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:26 pm (UTC)
Nov. 6 is the last day (Thursday) and whatever you're able to give, I'm grateful for! (If Chrissy's is less than my amount, you can send her the donation. I don't know why they don't have a team tally instead of individual....)

I am very pro-genetically modified foods because I understand the basics (and just slightly beyond) of genetic engineering and know that it could half the number of people that die from starvation. but some people think it's "bad" without understanding what it really entails. I need to post when I'm not bothered.

OooooOOooo I would love a butt rub with those hands. The Mr. blows and is lazy. (read: I ask him to rub me all the time and he's mean to me.) I'm going to get a massage SUnday, I think. I hope it's a hot young dude. :D

Sounds like her company is okay with selling things, but not soliciting for donations. It's a stupid policy, but it isn't necessarily random. She could still file a complaint.
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:27 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I don't understand how selling is better than helping, but that's me. And I *really* don't see why there should be apolicy that allows for bible study discussion emails, but nothing for raising money for dying women. Bah, I say.

AND: HI BB! How are you and the fam? *rubs your shoulders*

I have never heard of a company that would allow charitable fund raising. WTF?

My firm has "5 dollar Fridays" - wear jeans to work, pay 5 bucks for the privilege and it goes to charity. Right now they sent out all kinds of e-mails and sign up forms for the Race for the Cure. We're one of the big sponsors.

My youngest sister just finished doing her three day walk, so (of course) the whole family donated a lot of money to her. She says it was amazing.
Oct. 9th, 2008 06:28 pm (UTC)
It's really weird, right? Especially since her cubicle neighbor runs a MaryKay shop out of her desk. Uh...

Oh, yay for your firm! The Race for the Cure is a great event. it's no 3 Day, but hey :D

I'm so proud of your younger sister! I'm telling you, R, it was one of the most amazing events in my entire life, no lie. WHich is why I'm doing it every single year. It's fantastic. I bet your sister could use a foot rub, huh? <3

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
