Hair Meme!

This was started by dancetomato and crazydiamondsue, and since I'm shameless, I have to do it, too. My various hair dos through the years... (Oooh, except my shaved head/rat tail breakdance years because my mother destroyed all of them because "I was so ugly." Aww, thanks, Ma.)

WARNING: image heavy.

The 'do? You can't HANDLE the 'do!Collapse )

I have a house that needs cleaning and no get up and go to do it. Any takers? I'll make you a margarita? It's 80 degrees here today. \o/

What a great meme! Oh, Stoney, you are one stylish mo fo!

Your mom at your wedding! Was she looking to make it a double? Looks like she's got her eyes on a camera man.

I dig the post-divorce 'do! It's so fresh and cute.

The vampire looks so sweet and relaxed. Shouldn't he be a little scared of those talons?

The stylist thinned your hair to make her arms less tired??? WTF?

Rock on, Stoney!

Oh my god, my mother was on her... fifth marriage? She did everything for mine, I just showed up and ate what she planned and wore what she picked out. She's uh... she's a piece of work. :)

Can you stand it with that stylist?! Funny how I never went back...

Your mother wore her wedding dress to your wedding?

Your mother wore her wedding dress to your wedding.

Jesus Christ, what a complete nutjob.

Thought I of course say that with the utmost of respect.

And you look drop dead gorgeous no matter what, which is why I secretely hate you so.

Haven't we talked about this?!?! I mean... it's one of the greatest HOLY SHIT moments of all times!!

Why are you online and not starting to booze it up? Whatever about "it's not even lunch time, Sippy McPukes." It's happy hour somewhere, have I not taught you anything!?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY FRIEND!

Let's talk about the Sun-In, Laura, and how that was NOT NATURAL BLONDE. It was a step above the red-tinted mousse, but I still remember you telling me that you used it all the time and that I should, too. HAHAHA! Oh, memories.

I also like that your perm hair is a lot like Nikki's in Big Love, except not wiping your ass long. (I don't remember it being that long before, until you had children. Is there pictorial evidence of this? Was I living in a fog while trying to forget my childhood? I did that a lot.)

Also, your big glasses are completely in style, I don't know why you'd have to clarify with the Sally Jesse. You were AHEAD OF THE TIMES.

mmmm...Sun-In...the exciting product that turned my hair green one summer! Ask Me How!

(er, well, it was the copper pipes providing my shower water that reacted with the Sun-In and meant I had to chop a giant bunch of hair off the back of my head. Yeah, I was hawt.)

Also, your icon is giving me the giggles.

Short-short hair is AMAZING on you. I wish I had the head/face to pull off supershort! Shows off your neck so so well.

Aww, you're so sweet, Angie-boo. Because my head is of Chihuahua proportions, though, I have to be careful with my body size or I look, um, off. :D

I think I'll whack it all off this winter.

Is that picture a classic or what?!? I failed to mention that I was wearing my most prized possession: my silver guitar necklace that I STOLE. Oh, I was such a shameful bad girl back then...

I sympathize with the big glasses had them for a looooooooooooong time.
I also won't mock your perm, because I got a curly perm once and I used Sun-In. I am black do I even have to say how bad that was.
Your nails are trip in the movie pic.
Now though you are seriously a hottie. I bet all the boy's friends harbor secret crushes on you.
I might have to do this meme. Can you say Poetic Justice braids? *headdesk*

Oh, a curly perm + your hair + sun in. Bless your heart that took forever to grow out, didn't it? We've all been there! *holds you*

I want to see those braids on you! I bet it's hot. Do the meme, do the meme!!!

I am in endless love with the blue shirt picture, because seriously, it was the 80s and you look GOOD, I think that means you didn't do the 80s right. However! as enraptured as I am with your Sally Jesse!glasses in that pic, it is the FROSTY FROSTY lipstick of the girl on the other end in the acid wash that I am COVETING.

I will also never not boggle at your mom wearing her gettin' hitched dress to YOUR gettin' hitched party. It's out of a script I tells ya.

I cannot for the life of me remember her name, either. I'll have to pull out my junior high pics, which means that I'll have to listen to Depeche Mode and remember how very very Mormon I was and how I longed to be freeeeeeeeee!

I mean, you cannot make that up, amirite??!

(Hahaha, I totally love that picture of the blue shirt. <3)

Good lord, this is giving me flashbacks... Of a kid with the same glasses, only rosy PINK with naturally curly (more like frizzball) hair that never wanted to do anything other than go *POOF!* oh, but I managed to use enough hairspray to plaster my bangs upright.

And at 19, my hair was past my butt long. I could take the ends with each hand, stretch my arms out into a T and say "Look at my wingspan!" Dork. Dork. Dork.

And then, well, I thought nobody could outcrazy my family. Nobody... but...

Your Mom!

Augh!
I'm so sorry.

Awww, you were so adorkable in your huge specs, you New Wave Avenger, you!

I don't have any pics of it, but during the New Wave Hair Revolution (yes, it deserves caitalisation), I had the pinned-back-on-one-side, heavy-curtain-over-the-other-eye hairstyle. And my hair was chin-length all around, too.

Worn with huge-framed glasses. Heh.

Oh, that hair style! I'm fairly certain I did my hair that way, too! We were so rad. ;)

I may have to see about snagging some pictures when I go visit my mom next weekend. Those glasses are making me nostalgic - I had the same ones, only pink. With pink-tinted lenses. (Yes, I looked through rose-tinted glasses, AHAHAHAHAhaha...ha...yeah. That was third grade.)

Also, you so pretty! *hugs*

Oh man, the tinted glasses!! So kewl in the 80s. I had a pair that were tinted when I was in Elementary school, too. GOOD TIMES.

Thanks, sweets!

Love the blue shirt...

I only wanted your approval, DT!! And I agree - I was the very definition of a late bloomer...

(I love that shirt too! I used to wear it buttoned to the top with a big brooch fasted at the neck. STYLIN' and PROFILIN'.)

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
