Friday, yay!

1. I'm going to take the kids to the beach, to Birmingham for the Civil Rights museums, and to the BFFs for a fun vacation late next week, YAY. I am definitely needing a change of scenery for a bit - my walls are closing in!
2. I'm getting a 90 minute massage at lunch!
4. I just pre-ordered this AMAZING sounding book! (And this hilariously awesome YA novel written by an online friend - can't wait!)
5. I finally got an idea for something to write (something silly for the blog) and I was up until 2 am sussing it out. In that "Yay, I have an idea!" way. It may or may not involve Letter of Complaint from Edward Cullen to the vampires of Fangtastia. Lol.
6. FRIDAY. Calories don't count on a Friday! Lol.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Oh, I can not wait to see that letter from Sissy Edward Cullen!

Have fun on the vacation - that sounds like a blast.

Hahahaha, YAY!

Oh man, I'm so totally due for a vacation, it's not even funny.

Letter of Complaint from Edward Cullen to the vampires of Fangtastia

I can't wait to read that omg hahahah.

Vacation! Have an amazing time. :D

WHEEEEEE! Mmmm, I'm Team Eric, too. He's pretty much the only reason I'm watching, him and Pam.

VACATION! I have to wait until next Thursday, but then it's 9 days of on the road/having fun/good times!
Jul. 10th, 2009 03:57 pm (UTC)
Pam! ♥

Bill and Sookie need to die in a fire.

I just think they are the most overwrought, boringest couple ever. I want Pam/Eric slaughtering the countryside tales!

(Speaking of, my buddy ethrosdemon has written some fic based on that. She's a FABULOUS story teller. you might toodle over and read that or her summaries of True Blood if you'd like. She's of our mind on that show.)

I was unaware of the Friday calorie absence. I plan to take advantage of this. *G*

90 minute massages should be covered by health insurance, say, four a year?

I love the letter of complaint idea. Let me know if you need a beta.

Also, PX90-woman, I feel like such a wimp. I've been going through and doing exercise DVDs, now that I finally have space. An upper body workout with one-pound weights wiped me out. *sniff*

On the plus side, I finally achieved an arm balance in yoga. I only held it for about 10 seconds, but that's 9.5 seconds more than I've ever managed before.

LOL, I get one every month (I skipped June because of my back, which was d-u-m dumb.) It's my only extravagance, though.

It'll come!! I was using 6 pound dumbbells when I started (and I had fairly strong arms - no definition, but strongish.) And now I'm using 15s! It just takes time and determination, DON'T GIVE UP!!

AWESOME on that arm balance! Doesn't it make you feel like a bad ass? And just think - in a few weeks you'll be busting out 30 second long arm balances with no problem!

is it okay if I confess my undying love for you for ordering my book?
Jul. 10th, 2009 04:45 pm (UTC)
YES IT IS. I've been telling all of my mom friends with teen/pre-teen daughters. I'm so excited to read it! (And I can imagine you're flipping out, so ready for the release!)

I wish the RWA was back in Dallas so I could buy you a drink or nine. One day, cookie.

Would be awesome if RWA was in Dallas. Actually, last time it was there (2 yrs ago) I got my nose pierced and we participated in an awesome night of Drag Queen Karaoke. Not sure DC can top that.

I MIGHT be doing a book signing in the Dallas area this fall. Will notify you for realz if that happens!

We have a fantastic Gayborhood. :D

That would be great if you got to come here! Book signings are always packed and fun here.

That 'Wind Up Girl' book sounds awesome. Thanks for the link!
Jul. 10th, 2009 04:46 pm (UTC)
Doesn't that look fabulous? It's based on a few short stories, which is available (and which I also purchased.)
Jul. 10th, 2009 04:49 pm (UTC)
Aahh, cool.
Jul. 10th, 2009 04:49 pm (UTC)
Yeah, Hugo/Nebula winners, too. I love me some sf short stories!
Jul. 10th, 2009 05:47 pm (UTC)
OMG! A letter from Edward Cullen! GIVE!
Jul. 10th, 2009 08:33 pm (UTC)
I must write it first, then I will give and give until I BLEED from it. :D
Jul. 10th, 2009 06:13 pm (UTC)
The Sci Fi book sounds intriguing. I'm going to have to look up the author's other works.

I can't wait to read your "Twilight"/"True Blood" crossover!

Good thing calories don't count on Friday, I'm on my second serving of Thai Pineapple Fried Rice. The ripe jalapenos out of my garden are hot, hot, hot and the spicy/sweet combination is addictive!
Jul. 10th, 2009 08:34 pm (UTC)
The short story that this is based on? Hugo/Nebula winning. I added that to my order. :D

GLAH that sounds delicious!!! I had leftover macaroni. (It was homemade, but still.) I clearly need to go out to dinner tonight before Bruno!

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
