Slow Sunday Night, huh?

It's freezing here in Texas, and it's just WEIRD. I mean, it's May. It should be near the 90s and it's 50 43 degrees outside. Windy and tornadoes everywhere (which is also weird, because where is the warm air coming from to create the uplift?)

I finished Bossypants by Tina Fey and let me tell you this: that is required reading for all women writers/funny women. I wrote up a review (with an excerpt) at Hey Don't Judge Me.

Now I'm diving back into Rob Lowe's memoir, and holy crap, it's engaging to say the least. Who knew? That'll get a review, too.

Game of Thrones tonight, whoo! Recap up tomorrow. Diving back under the blankets, brrrr!

It's because Texas is sad that I am no longer there. OMG IT'S SENTIENT, KILL IT!

When's our next road trip? Next time I'm bringing the plague with me just to shake things up.

Glad to hear that Bossy Pants is a good read! I kept picking it up and putting it down in various airports, but finally decided it was too thin given the price because I'm incredibly cheap like that.

IT IS SO SAD ABOUT YOU! We watched Lord of the Rings today in your honor.

I am so glad to hear you're back home - did you kick the plague in it's throat meat? Also, I'm sure the book will be out cheaper (or at libraries) soon. It's truly one of the funnier things I've ever read.

Awesome about LOTR. I hope you started it by drinking a beer under two seconds and then punching the person next to you as a loving tribute.

The plague is still with me, I have named it and decided to keep it. It's much smaller though now and is hovering somewhere back in my face rather than constantly lurching out and making a dash for freedom.

Oh, I picked up Vanity Fair and it had part of RL's memoir in it, and you're right it was brain grabbable.

(You know those dvd's? Did I mention that I haven't actually seen them myself in case they are aweful? They were the only top selling NZ dvds that were available - but they've won awards and been top raters, so hopefully they wont be completely crap, and if they are, coasters!)

The Mr. says hello and to quit bringing your island pestilence to our Grand Nation. Ugh, we miss your face, even snotty and putrescent! (Oh, he just said to keep up with the Airborne, and now I think he's a part of a cult or something.)

Rob Lowe's book is ASTOUNDING. In places it's like a real life "Less Than Zero" and it's amazing he came away from his life as an intelligent, loving and thoughtful person. I have Deep Thoughts about it, I'll shut up.

No, no, the Mr. is taking one series with him traveling next week, so I'm sure it will be hilarious to him. <-- see the implication there?

And a big hello right back to the Mr and to the rest of the family who are so completely awesome that if there were an Awesome Hall of Fame they would be in it. But there isn't. So...

But if there were Airborne and Alkaselzer would be in it is as well. (I'll ignore the Airborne slight because Airborne is a forgiving pharmaceutical, but wait, I've said too much.)

Your implication made me laugh. :)

I'm thinking about getting a kindle (eeee!) so I will add that to my Fantasy List of Books to Get!

Yeah it cooled down a lot for us here too! We opened the house to let in the fresh air.

We had to close the windows when it dropped to the lower 40s. ACK. TOO COLD FOR ME!

The weather yesterday was wacky - 95° on my morning walk and forty degrees cooler a couple hours later. What up, weather?

Rob Lowe has a memoir? I'm curious what he remembers of the 80's. *bookmarks*

It is FORTY THREE. Hail. Hail and cold. Whaaaaa??

Oh man, it's truly excellent so far, and I'm only to the casting of The Outsiders. He's a very good (albeit formal) writer - and HE wrote it, no outside help at all. It just came out on Thursday.

Well, I put both books on hold at the library - I'm 22 back for Rob and 222 back for Tina. This could take a while...

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
