THEY ARE ABOUT TO FEEL MY THUNDER

I don't get mad often, but when I do, and I mean, mad, I am a terrifying and beautiful tsunami of righteousness and obliteration and will be the only one left standing on a pile of their dead bodies. Or, you know, I'll have a sternly worded email and hopefully get some results.

Maybe you've noticed that I own a website that's gaining in popularity, a little thing called Hey, Don't Judge Me? And as I've been hemorrhaging money into it for a year [happily, I'm very proud of it and my writers], I decided a few months ago to put Google Ads on the site, even though it's really a paltry amount of money (cents per click) but hey, any little bit helps, right? And I've never encouraged people to click on the ads, nor have I clicked on the ads myself, because that's against the TOS. By October, I think we'd earned a grand total of $12.34. So you know, rolling in it. (Web hosting alone is $25 a month.) Google pays out when you hit $100, I figure I was pretty close to that, given the increase in traffic at HDJM.

Yesterday I got an email from GoogleAds saying: "After reviewing our records, we've determined that your AdSense account poses a risk of generating invalid activity."

POSES A RISK. I didn't actually generate invalid activity, they just think I MIGHT. So I've been disabled. And "Your outstanding balance and Google's share of the revenue will both be fully refunded back to the affected advertisers." WHO HAS BEEN AFFECTED, BECAUSE YOU SAID I POSE A RISK.

So I quickly filled out an appeal, which is a bunch of horse shit, questions like, "How do you generate your content?" And "How do you promote your site?" I thought you were "reviewing and tracking data" from my site, shouldn't you know this? Mm hmm. An automatically generated response was sent saying that "due to the high volume of emails we receive, it may take us up to a week or more to process it." Well that doesn't say much for your service if you get a LOT OF THESE ISSUES.

This morning I received confirmation that "after thoroughly re-reviewing your account data and taking your feedback into consideration, our specialists have confirmed that we're unable to reinstate your AdSense account" - thoroughly re-reviewing. Have you, now?

My email back to them:

Google has basically used me as an Advertisement Mule, then. There is no proof, no evidence, and it seems very suspicious that I was just about to reach the payout level of earnings and then I'm disabled with nothing more than your say so that something nefarious is going on behind the scenes.

I demand to see the data that was "thoroughly re-revisited" as proof of any salacious behavior on my part. I run a popular website, we have almost a half a million hits per month, and that is a lot of unpaid airtime for your advertisers to benefit from.

If I am not given any proof of my alleged behavior within 72 hours, I'll take this further with legal representation.

I AM ABOUT TO WALK SOME SHEEP THROUGH THE VALLEY OF DEATH. AND THEY WILL KNOW MY NAME IS THE LORD WHEN I LAY MY VENGEANCE UPON THEM. [ahaha, okay, I'm just needing to vent. BUT NO. I am not someone that can be tossed aside, Mama's got bills and writers to pay.]

Speaking of, Melody has been posting hilarious and awesome recaps of The X-Factor, and you should read the Top 7 Results Review. :)

And in other news, I have an amazing writing partner that keeps me sane when I'm slipping into Jules-mode, even though I will always dig on swine. flaming_muse is one of those writers that just continually churns out thoughtful and well-crafted stories, and hey, here's yet another one, Postmarks, where Blaine and Kurt turn in Kurt's NYADA application, with all the fears and worries of how to move to the next stage in life. That she lets me poke at her things as a part of her process is a joy and an honor.
