Title: The Only Living Boy In New York
Rating: Gen
Word count: >2500
Spoilers: Through 4.01, pure speculation past that
Summary: Kurt in Central Park during the autumn, and a much needed phone call. Warnings: dog slobber.
A/N: Thank you, as always, to flaming_muse for using sharp sticks and poking this until it stopped bleeding red edits. (And for making me turn an email I sent her into a story.) The title is from Simon & Garfunkel's fabulous “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” album, which always makes me think of autumn and the unknown.

The ground beneath it was littered with leaves in crimson and gold. He kicked through the leaves, feeling a bit giddy that this was his life now – walks in Central Park, restaurants where his idols dined, the lights of Broadway just over the horizonCollapse )

That was absolutely wonderful, but now I need a fic where they continue that oh so hot "take off a glove" phone conversation somewhere a bit more private. Maybe it was just because I read it all in my version of Blaine's bedroom voice.

Oh....there were two parts to that email that spawned this... :D

I think everything should be read in Blaine's bedroom voice, personally. (Thank you very much, by the way!)

LOVED IT. I don't really know what else to say other than it made me feel soft and light and gooey...it sounds like I'm describing dessert, which actually fits this really well. :o) So sweet.

Ha, I will take that description of super sweet and clutch it to my bosom! Thank you very much for reading. <3

I've been moping a bit about the lack of Klaine Together, but clearly my imagination is rot because tHIS IS KLAINE TOGETHER. Terribly sweet. I love EVERYTHING Klaine. and When there's a dog involved, I'm a very, very happy beaver.

I was also wondering just y'day if we'll get a Stoney fic soon. So. YAY UNIVERSE! *ChimpSmile*

A slice of warm, salty caramel-ly chocolate cake; a glass of wine, and a BlaineHug for you.

Oooh, I like all of those things, so thank you!!

Oh, I'm glad this put a smile on your face. I know that the show can't be focused on them with so many pieces of the game to move around (more's the pity) so thank goodness for fic, right?! (If you've not see, FM has a few episode-related fics, too!)

Yay! A story from Stoney! *sits down cross-legged on carpet square to listen to the nice school librarian read*

So, the upside of long distance (the only upside, really) is the talking, talking, talking. Everything that was once expressed with everyday glances and kisses now must be put into words. The longing. The love. The completely overwhelming "I wish you were here." And yes, the aching. It sucks, no doubt about it, but god, it can force couples to unfurl everything, everything that is in their hearts.

This was just lovely. I loved that Kurt was walking through Central Park (and that he turned away from the wind and ran his fingers over the granite veins) and Blaine was home at his desk. One place new and and big and so very much the expression of New York, and the other place small and cozy and familiar. The dog was wonderful. And the hand...the hand just made me cry big romantic tears. Because, wow. Talking.

And also, the idea that they used to hold hands under the table at lunch just got to me. These boys. These boys.

You have no idea how happy it made me to see a story from you. <3 I'm glad Ms. Muse was able to poke it out of you.

Hahaha! And I have the comfy mats out for my listeners. ;D

My husband travels for a living with his career, so boy, do I know that you are spot on when it comes to talking being the focus of a relationship. It will make you or break you, there's no question about it.

(Don't you just love the granite everywhere you turn in NYC? I do.) I am SO SO HAPPY to know you enjoyed this! Thank you very much for reading. (And FM is a delight in so many ways. ;D)

I was deliriously happy just with the (giant and fluffy!) dog. And then BAM! Unexpected phone caresses. *contended sigh*

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
