[insert witty title here]

I had a busy weekend, socializing every night. I want to curl up and read for about three days to right that wrong. ;) I had some friends over for dinner on Saturday where I made oxtails again (seriously. The tweaks I made - and added to the posted recipe - made this SO DAMN GOOD.) We went out for dinner last night with another group of friends, then came back to watch one of the best episodes of the Walking Dead season yet.

THE RECAP. Dude. I love how strong the women are (minus Andrea). And Daryl, as always, makes me happy. Come talk shop over at HDJM.

In other news, I am eating leftovers of deliciousness and skipping my workout today. I worked in the garden cleaning it out on Sat and Sunday, so I can take a day off.

Someone come push everyone out of my house so I can take a nap, please.

EDITED TO ADD FOR THE TEEN WOLF FANDOM: Holy smokes, let me explain Adderall. You take it because your brain is hyperactive (in a nutshell) and yes, if a non ADHD person took it, it's like taking coke. For someone with ADHD, it's like a brain chill. YOU ARE THE OPPOSITE OF HYPERACTIVE. That's...that's the freaking POINT. Also, coffee acts like Adderall, so it slows down a person's mind enough for them to think. SUGAR would make them hyper (as do most dyes) but not COFFEE.

(And I keep coming across per SAY instead of per se. And A-huh for Uh-huh. A-huh? Every time I see that I say letter A, huh.) /random observances

Hooray, they all went on a spontaneous Target trip, which will keep the girls entertained for HOURS.

I had a dream last night and you were in it! Has that sentence ever started off well? But no, you had clothes, and you were an agent and we were at my old school hall where a comedian that you had just signed up was preforming except it kept cutting to tv skits and I dropped the 1000 paged script and the pages got mixed up. IT WAS VERY STRESSFULL, I SHOULD TAKE SOME COKE TO CALM MYSELF DOWN!

AHAHAHAHAHA. Dude, I hear that people get crazy on pot? And my friend? Her brother did, like, five pots at the same time and he thought he could FLY and he jumped out of a window and I think he's probably dead now, which is why you shouldn't do pots.

It's like, a gateway drug. Straight to hell. Also, I'm pretty sure that people starve to death on it. So...

I once, had a friend, who was walking by these pot smokers, and she smelled the pot, and she then, like, totally shoved a needle filled with heroin into her eyeball and was a junkie for ever and died. True story.

Okay, so like, I'm not supposed to tell this story? But we had a cousin who totally got into drinking cough syrup - AND HE WASN'T EVEN COUGHING.

I'm pretty sure he ended up in prison because of that.

Wellll, one thing about Adderall/Ritalin and ADD/ADHD - which I am sure you know well by now - is that when you are undiagnosed and unmedicated, you are often depressed and listless and quiet and kind of fucking angry all the time because your brain is plotting against you 90% of the time. So when you finally ARE medicated, you can SEEM hyperactive because for the first time in your life you are functioning like the rest of the world and not like A Crazy Person. It's like this huge fucking weight has been lifted off your shoulders and you can finally just BE.

So yeah, to outsiders it can seem like the meds make you more hyper but really it's just making you more able to keep up with your own mind. IT'S NOT OUR FAULT OUR MINDS ARE FASTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE'S.

Oh, isn't that true about finally having that fog lifted? HEY CONNECTED THOUGHTS, HOW ARE YOU NICE TO MEET YOU. (Same thing with anti-depression meds.)

I make my lists for what to do for the day right after drinking my (vile! horrific! necessary! I love it so!) coffee because that's when my brain is firing as it should. THEN I START JUGGLING FORTY-SEVEN MENTAL BALLS.

Daryl! Michonne! Carol! Maggie! I am loving this season so much. .

RE: workouts, I think I remember a previous post where you mentioned P90X? Is that what you're doing? I tried it and it was way too hard for me. *bows to you* I did the original Power90 a while ago and had good results. Tony Horton, so dorky. *g* Now I'm doing Chalean Extreme which is another Beachbody program.

I looooooooove this season. LOVE IT. Can't wait to watch it all from the beginning, too.

I do P90X! This is my [counts fingers] fourth run? I'm modifying it a bit to suit my own needs, but the Power90 is awesome, too. I did TurboFire and loved it - man, if you want a workout that's all about increasing your cardio to scaring proportions, that's the one. I hoofed it up a mountain faster at 38 than I did at 20.

Tony Horton is such a cheese ball. :D Are you liking the Chalean Extreme?
Feb. 18th, 2013 11:22 pm (UTC)
I love TurboFire, too! I'm actually doing a hybrid of the two right now - just substituting TurboFire workouts for the cardio portion of Chalean Extreme. The rest of it is strength training, three days a week. I love it. I really like Chalene. She is motivating and yet doesn't annoy the shit out of me - a fine line to walk. *g*

Oh, yeah, I don't listen to Tony because those jokes of his are SO CORNY. I like Chalene, too! She's super motivating, you're exactly right.

I read A-huh and I immediately thought of Goofy.

Are You Actually

Reading this? I'm just curious. Because that's really detail-oriented of you. Feel free to stop reading. But you can see that there's more here, so are you going to keep reading? Really? That's pretty dedicated. I'm impressed. No, really. I'm not being sarcastic, why do you get like that? See, this is the problem I have with your mother - yes. YES. I'm going there. It's time we put all of our cards on the table.

I love you, why are you doing this? After all we've been through? You don't have to be like this. You know, still reading. You could be baking a pie. And then sharing it with me.
